Forrester just released their most recent Wave Report. In it they evaluated the roles and capabilities of major US interactive agencies over the last 18 months and found that there’s been a significant shift in the role of interactive agencies for major US brands:
Forrester’s evaluation of the strategy and execution capabilities of interactive agencies across 39 criteria finds that the market has matured considerably in the past 18 months. The market is now ready to take a big step to join, and in some cases even replace, traditional agencies in leading marketing strategy for top brands.
