Canada’s Digital 20 Lists

As a result of overwhelming nominations and the challenge of trying to recognize industry veterans as well as newly minted ground breakers we’ve decided to create two lists:

THE CANADIAN DIGITAL POWER 2o

The Canadian Digital Power 20 is a list of the most influential Canadian digital leaders who, over the last decade or more have built and shaped this industry and continue to contribute as it hits the main stream.

The basic (but not limiting) criteria for this list are:

  • They have been involved in Digital Marketing for at least a decade
  • They have had or currently hold a significant digital marketing leadership role (Director or better)
  • They have or continue to contribute to the industry beyond their professional obligations (Speaker, educator, mentor, ect)

THE CANADIAN DIGITAL INNOVATORĀ  2o

The Canadian Digital Innovation 20 is a list of people who have in the last 10 years driven interesting, meaningful and important break thoughts in the digital media space. This is not limited to commercial innovation…technical, cultural and social also count. This list is a little fuzzier than the Power 2o so I’ll be tagging in some extra helpers in November when we close the list to determine the best way to handle this, as it may go to a vote or cloud sourced jury of peers. The core criteria is that these people have:

  • Not already been selected for the Digital Power 20 List
  • Created something unique and groundbreaking in the digital media space
  • Contributed to the Canadian Digital Media community beyond their professional obligations (Speaker, educator, mentor, ect.)
  • Been recognized by the community as a contributor (meaning you can’t nominate yourself…unless you have a really good reason)

Feel free to submit suggestions either on the comments field below, on the list pages themselves or to me directly MartinByrne.ca
